Douglas, About 11 Miles South: Implants, with Fewer Journeys
Implant treatment usually involves several appointments, and from Douglas, about 11 miles south, each one is a proper outing. So we plan around that: your consultation and CT scan happen together, you take a written plan home to consider, and wherever the treatment allows, later appointments are combined.Implants and full-arch teeth from Douglas, planned so you travel as little as the treatment allows. Consultation and CT scan together.

Prepare Before You Travel
A little preparation means your first appointment settles the main questions, instead of leading to another one.
Nothing here is compulsory. Every bit of it helps.
Three Answers, One Sitting
With a CT scanner in our own building, Dr Kalsi can examine you, scan your jaw and go through the images with you on screen at a single appointment. You head home knowing whether implants will work for you, which type, and the cost.
There's no charge for the consultation. A £20 deposit reserves the time and is repaid within 7 days of attending. If you need a scan it's £160, and full-arch fees already include it.

Most single-implant plans take a few months. Yours could be quicker, or begin with a bone graft.
| Stage | What we do | Approximate timing |
|---|---|---|
| Consultation | We examine you, scan if needed, and set out options with a written fee | First appointment |
| Placement | Under local anaesthetic, the implant goes in through a 3D-printed guide | When you're ready |
| Review | A quick look at how the gum is settling | One to two weeks after |
| Impression | A putty-free iTero scan for the crown | Once the implant has fused |
| Crown | Your crown goes on and the bite is fine-tuned | When the lab returns it |
If two of these can safely be combined, we'll combine them. A front gap is given a temporary tooth during healing.
When Several Teeth Are Missing
With more teeth involved, fewer but longer appointments make more sense, especially from Douglas. Each option below is planned with that in mind.
Keeping Your Usual Dentist
An implant with us doesn't mean moving practice. Your usual dentist can carry on with your examinations, and you come to Lanark only for the implant and its aftercare.
No referral is needed. If you'd like, we'll write to your dentist once treatment ends, so your records are complete. And if you don't have a dentist at the moment, we're registering NHS and private patients now, and Dr Kalsi and Dr Gray provide Invisalign.
Caring for the Implant
An implant needs daily cleaning like any tooth, along with regular hygiene appointments. As our guarantee is a 5-year guarantee for non-smokers who attend hygiene visits every 3 months, decide early whether those visits will be with Fiona, our hygienist, or with a hygienist closer to Douglas.
Opening hours: Monday to Thursday, 9am to 5.30pm, and Friday, 9am to 5pm. Closed at weekends. Tell us which days suit you best, and we'll book your reviews around them.

Send a Photo First
WhatsApp us a picture of the gap or your denture. If implants look unlikely to suit you, we'll say so before you've left Douglas.
