New Lanark and Kirkfieldbank: Fixed Teeth, Up the Road

A Full Arch, in Plain Words
It's a whole set of teeth for one jaw, held on four implants (six on some pathways) and fixed in place, so it stays in overnight. Daily cleaning is much like natural teeth, with extra attention underneath, and at your hygiene visits every three months we clean beneath it with the bridge left in place.
When four implants carry it, you'll see it called All-on-4. Angling the two back implants lets them reach denser bone, which often means no graft. If the bone is softer on a Same-Day or Premium case, six may go in instead, at no extra cost.
The implants are MegaGen AnyRidge, each positioned on your CT plan. On the Premium Guided Zirconia pathway, MegaGen R2 guided surgery adds a 3D-printed guide made to that plan.
The Day of the Surgery
It's the part people dread most. The appointment is long, but nothing about it is improvised.
Getting Comfortable
Your jaw is numbed with local anaesthetic. If you've opted for IV sedation (£500 a session), that comes first, leaving you relaxed and drowsy for the rest.
Removing Failing Teeth
On Same-Day and Premium, any teeth that can't be saved come out gently during the same visit. On Staged Treatment they come out earlier, and a healed jaw has none to remove.
Placing the Implants
Each implant goes where your CT plan puts it. On Premium, a 3D-printed guide built from that plan fixes the position and angle.
Temporary Teeth Fixed In
On Same-Day and Premium, a temporary bridge is usually screwed on before you go home. 2 Whether that can happen depends on the quality of your bone and how steady the implants are once placed, which we only find out during surgery. If they're not steady enough, you leave with a temporary denture, the bridge goes on once they've settled, and your pathway fee stays the same. Your written plan sets out that route too. A Healed Foundation patient keeps wearing their own denture while healing, and a Staged patient the temporary one. After sedation, someone must see you home.
