Implant Prices in Lanark
Prices for a single tooth, a short gap or a full jaw. What each fee pays for, what sits outside it, why Lanarkshire implant prices rarely turn up in a search, and how to weigh one quote against another.
How Much Are Dental Implants in Lanark and Lanarkshire?
A single implant with its crown costs from £2,775 at Lanark Smile Studios, before any bone graft. That one fee runs from the digital plan to the finished tooth: a MegaGen AnyRidge implant, guided into place by a template 3D-printed from your scan, the abutment that connects it and the crown itself. The CT scan adds £160. A graft is added only if the scan shows your bone needs it, at £535 or £998. The consultation costs nothing, and fixed teeth for a full jaw start at £9,300 per arch.
Every Implant Fee in One Table
An implant and crown for one missing tooth starts at £2,775 in Lanark. 1 It's made up of two fees: £1,605 for the implant and £1,170 for the crown fixed on top of it. All the figures in the table are copied from our fee list, which is public, so what you read on this page matches what reception will tell you.

What the Single-Tooth Price Includes
One fee covers the whole journey, from the first plan to the fitted tooth. Step by step, you're paying for:
- Planning on screen from your CT scan, which settles the implant's length, width and angle well before surgery
- A surgical guide, 3D-printed from that plan and used with the MegaGen R2 guided surgery system
- A MegaGen AnyRidge implant, a product that carries the CleanImplant Trusted Quality seal
- The abutment, the small connector between implant and crown
- Your crown, designed from an iTero scanner image rather than putty impressions, and coloured to blend with the teeth next to it
- Review appointments while the bone heals, plus the visit to fit the crown
- A 5-year guarantee for non-smokers who attend hygiene visits every 3 months
Dr Davinder Kalsi, known to most patients as Dav, plans each implant on the CT scan and then places it himself, so the plan you agree to is the one he follows on the day. He has placed more than 2,000 implants over more than ten years, and he holds an engineering degree as well as his dental one. It shows in how carefully he measures.

Extras, and When They Apply
Plenty of patients pay the single-tooth fee and nothing else. Others need an extra or two. Either way, your written plan lists them before you commit:
- CT scan, £160. Almost every implant needs one. For single and multiple implants it sits outside the main fee, because some people have the scan, take time to think and then choose not to go ahead. The scan is theirs to keep whatever they decide. On a dental plan it's £144.
- Bone graft, £535 or £998. Added only when the ridge lacks height or width. A lot of patients need no graft at all, and our guide to bone grafting sets out how that's judged.
- Removing the tooth first. £125 for a straightforward extraction, or £450 where it has to be surgical.
- Covering a front gap during healing. Either an immediate acrylic denture at £495, or a resin-bonded bridge (glued to the neighbouring teeth, no drilling) at £675 a unit. A gap further back seldom needs anything.
- IV sedation. £500 for the opening session and £250 for each additional 30 minutes.
Two Example Totals
A lower molar that went years ago. Over time the ridge has thinned slightly, so the scan shows a small graft is needed at the same visit as the implant. That's £160 for the scan, £2,775 for the implant and crown and £535 for the graft, making £3,470.
A front tooth that has broken and can't be kept. The scan, a routine extraction, the implant and crown, and a temporary denture so you're never seen with a gap: £3,555 altogether, with no graft.
Both are examples rather than quotes. Your own figure depends on your scan, and you'll have it in writing before treatment starts. 1
Two or More Teeth, or a Full Jaw
Implants side by side are priced individually, one implant and one crown at a time, so a pair starts at £5,550. If three or more teeth in a row are gone, a short bridge resting on two implants is frequently the stronger design and the lower cost, and we'll quote it alongside.
Replacing every tooth in a jaw can be done in two ways. Fixed full-arch teeth are a single bridge screwed onto four implants, sometimes six, priced by pathway: Healed Foundation £9,300, Staged Treatment £11,500, Same-Day Fixed Teeth £13,500 or Premium Guided Zirconia £14,950 per arch. Every pathway takes in the CT scan, planning, the implants and the final bridge. Extractions come with the last three, and temporary teeth on surgery day, if the bone is suitable, 2 with Same-Day and Premium. Upper and lower on Healed Foundation total £18,600.
An implant-retained denture clips onto implants and lifts out to be cleaned, from £8,500 per jaw. Who suits which option is explained on our full-arch implants and implant-retained dentures pages.
Local Prices Rarely Show Up
Search for what implants cost in Lanarkshire and you'll find very little published. When we searched in October 2026, no Lanark or Clydesdale practice website came up with an implant price, although one other Lanark practice does publish its fees on its own site. The Lanarkshire figures that did appear belonged to city clinics further afield, quoting around £12,000 to £22,000 for a full arch. Most practices simply don't list a fee, which makes comparison hard until you've booked a consultation. Across Scotland, one implant with its crown usually falls somewhere between about £2,000 and £3,000.
At £2,775, our single-tooth fee is in the upper half of that Scottish range, and the list above shows exactly what it pays for: planning on a CT scan, a printed guide, a named implant system, the crown and a written guarantee. A cheaper quote can be perfectly fair if it covers the same ground. For a full jaw, our Healed Foundation fee of £9,300 per arch is towards the lower end of the figures we found.
Why Quotes Differ So Much
Two people, one from Carluke and one from Biggar, can arrive with quotes that are hundreds of pounds apart for what seems to be the same single tooth. The reason is nearly always one of the following:
- The headline leaves something out. A figure may cover the implant only, with the abutment, crown or scan priced separately.
- How it's planned. CT scanning and a printed guide add cost and remove guesswork. Working from a flat X-ray is cheaper to provide.
- Which implant. Well-researched systems with parts available around the world cost practices more than little-known imitations.
- Who does what. One dentist throughout, or a visiting surgeon for the implant and someone else for the crown.
- Looking after it. Review visits, a guarantee in writing and a hygiene plan may be included, or may not.
Eight Questions for Any Quote
- Are the abutment and the crown part of this figure?
- Will a CT scan be used for planning, and is it included?
- What is the implant system called?
- Does the implant go in through a surgical guide?
- Which dentist places it, and which one fits the crown?
- Am I likely to need a graft, and what would that cost?
- If the implant fails, what happens next and who pays?
- Will I have the full fee in writing before anything starts?
You'll find every one of these answered in our written plan. Put the same list to any other practice and compare the replies. There's more in our guide to choosing an implant dentist in Lanark.
Your Fee in Writing, and What Plans Save
Every cost is set out in your written plan before treatment begins: the scan, the implant and crown, and any graft, extraction, temporary tooth or sedation your case calls for. Once you've agreed it, that is the fee, and payment is due as treatment progresses.
Implant fees aren't discounted on our dental plans, but members get 10% off most other private treatment, and the CT scan comes down to £144. Plan B also includes four hygiene visits each year, which matches the three-monthly cleaning the guarantee requires.
What About Going Abroad?
Implants in Turkey and Hungary are advertised for much less than in Scotland, and some of that dentistry is sound. Count the flights, hotels, follow-up trips and care at home, though, and the difference shrinks, then grows again if anything has to be fixed here. We compare the two honestly in our guide to implants abroad or in Scotland, and we're happy to look over a foreign plan or finished work.
Is an Implant Worth the Money?
On day one, an implant is the most expensive choice. A conventional three-unit bridge, at £695 per unit, comes to around £2,085, and the teeth either side have to be filed down to carry it. A small acrylic denture is from £565, but the gum beneath it shrinks, so it works loose and has to be relined and eventually remade.
An implant leaves the teeth next to it alone, and because it keeps putting load through the bone, the ridge keeps its shape. With good care the implant itself can last for decades, though the crown on it may need replacing one day, like any crown. Over twenty years, the difference in cost often disappears. Our guide to implant, bridge or denture compares all three in detail.
Questions
This guide is general information, not a diagnosis. A dentist needs to examine you to say what is right for your teeth.
